The WSCXGP race course sits along the beautiful Sacramento River in the downtown core of the region’s largest metropolitan area. 

The course runs between two historical and iconic bridges and can be seen from Old Sacramento, one of the region’s largest tourist attractions.  The course is within walking distance of several hotels, restaurants, and cultural amenities such as the brand new West Sacramento Barn.



Northern California Cyclocross Association (NORCALCX) is a grassroots organization of people dedicated to supporting amateur cycling athletes in the region through supporting free racing and organizing rides, supporting amateur athletes at local races, and organizing the West Sacramento Cyclocross Grand Prix (WSCXGP) each Fall.

NORCALCX organizes the West Sacramento Cyclocross Grand Prix (WSCXGP) a USA Cycling (usac link) sanctioned race that aspires to become a top level UCI sanctioned race.

WSCXGP is an event started in 2014 that is co-hosted by NORCALCX, the City of West Sacramento, and the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce. More than just a race, WSCXGP is an event that brings together cyclists, music lovers, beer aficionados, and community members to enjoy coming together in one of West Sacramento finest parks along the riverfront.

NORCALCX is believes that everyone can improve their quality of life, have fun, and become more healthy through cyclocross. We support athletes of all levels from people thinking about getting a bike that can go off road to athletes that have risen to the top of the sport by providing a welcoming and supportive environemt. Our motto is “Go Hard Every Time Out,” gheto, which means as long as you are doing your best, whether you come in first or last, you are part of the family.
